Waste-treatment technology selection checklist
Compare proposals on a common feed, objective and system boundary before choosing a pathway.
The CSV includes columns for availability, source/date and your notes. The checklist does not require you to send information to BGF.
Common comparison basis
- Feed composition, flow or tonnage, variability and required output quality.
- Collection, pretreatment, treatment and residual-management steps included in each offer.
Evidence and operating fit
- Reference conditions versus the proposed feed and local climate.
- Representative treatability or pilot evidence; operating window and shock-load response.
- Footprint, utilities, operator needs, maintenance and expected downtime.
Outputs and selection
- Recovered product specification, acceptance route and evidence supporting yield claims.
- Sludge, brine, rejects, emissions and the fallback if a recovery outlet is unavailable.
- Comparable cost boundaries, unresolved assumptions and supplier clarification questions.
- Decision criteria, validation tasks and responsibilities before commitment.
This is an initial information checklist, not a laboratory instruction, safety assessment or detailed design specification. Select parameters and sampling arrangements with the responsible specialists.
